Why I Love Doing Journey Work in Groups

We had such an interesting and impactful group last Tuesday night, and I was reflecting on what were the factors that allowed everybody to be working deeply and also be so available to the group process at the same time.

When we have belonging we all rise together
When we have belonging we all rise together

It's always amazing to me to hear about the animals who showed up. They are a manifestation of what is trying to happen inside each person.  I’m grateful for the open-minded, positive women who showed up ready to Journey, even though you didn’t know exactly what we were going to be doing.

The Animals of the Four Windows workshops always seems to help people in unexpected ways and draw them into new perspectives.  I think one of the things that really benefited the whole group was the commitment not to go into the “business of pushing away” of whatever was coming up in their journey.  It’s so ironic, because whatever we try to push away, actually stays connected more fervently because it’s something that wants to be addressed!

I’m also grateful that everybody was in a “come as you are” state of mind. This really helped create the openness of our group field, and allowed a lot of safety for people to go deeper into their experiences with their animals who were showing up for them.

The other thing that was happening was co-regulation. Its one thing for people to find self-regulation tools during their journey (which happened for everybody) but it makes it so much more amazing to see that journeys were supportively intertwined, without even knowing it! Themes and animals jumped around and helped everyone move along. That’s how powerful our intuitive field had become very quickly.

It’s abundantly clear to me that with these things in place, we naturally flow into integrative and restorative signaling in our own nervous systems. I think we all observed and felt that all boats were rising with the tide!  Meeting together in person, and paying attention to somatic experiencing, added a “next level” of support and belonging that we all need in order to stay connected with our transformational world. Thanks for the heartfelt sharing and feedback that you all contributed!  And let’s not forget about those amazing animals who showed up to guide, collaborate and help us find our flow and creative spirit!

If you would like to be a part of these somatic flower journeying experiences make sure you are on our priority list!
